Fitment Guide
How we make sure the right part goes to the right vehicle — every time.
Why Fitment Verification Matters
Year, Make, and Model alone are not enough to guarantee a correct match. Many vehicles had multiple engine options, transmission types, or transfer case configurations depending on trim level, option packages, and production date. A 2018 Ford F-150 could have a 2.7L EcoBoost, 3.3L V6, 3.5L EcoBoost, or 5.0L V8 — each requiring a completely different engine. Matching by year/make/model alone creates a real risk of getting the wrong part.
How We Verify Fitment
Step 1: Vehicle Identification — We start with your Year, Make, Model, and the part you need. This narrows the field but is only the starting point.
Step 2: VIN Decoding — Your VIN contains encoded information about your vehicle's factory configuration — engine size, transmission type, drivetrain, trim level, and option packages. We decode this to identify the exact specifications.
Step 3: Build Data Cross-Reference — We cross-reference your decoded VIN against manufacturer build data and interchange databases to identify the correct part number and any applicable supersessions or updates.
Step 4: Confirmation — Before any part ships, we confirm the match. If there is any ambiguity, we contact you to verify before proceeding.
Where to Find Your VIN
Your VIN is a 17-character code found in several locations:
- Driver's side dashboard (visible through the windshield)
- Driver's door jamb sticker
- Vehicle registration or insurance card
- Title document
What If I Don't Have My VIN?
We can still help. We will match using Year, Make, Model, and any additional details you can provide — engine size, drivetrain type, trim level, and option packages. The more information you provide, the more confident the match.
